Over 12,000 homeless individuals are cared for by Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program each year.
We are committed to ensuring that every one of these individuals has access to comprehensive health care, from preventative dental care to cancer treatment.

To learn more about working at BHCHP, watch our video Please Click Here.Job Summary:Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program is looking for a per diem Unit Secretary to fill in for open shifts and provide phone coverage and support services which are essential to the overall functioning of our respite programs.
This position is crucial to assuring the continuity of patient care, providing an essential link for communication involving all departments including transportation.
Hours: Per diem, as needed, 7:30am- 4:00pm Responsibilities: Phone coverage and triage of callsAct as link between sitesScheduling and recording appointmentsFacilitate transportationTranscribe informationEnter information into the Stacy Kirkpatrick House databaseCollect, collate and enter dataInterface with patients and administrative staff and act as a member of the team of caregiversQualifications: Medical terminologyStrong computer skillsInterpersonal skills Strong organizational skillsProficient reading and writing skillsCustomer service skillsHigh School Diploma or equivalentMinimum one year experience in a clinical settingSecretarial training a plusBilingual a plusAvailability for occasional other shifts preferredCompensation: The compensation is $22.00 per hour.Does this amazing opportunity interest you?
