Position Overview Riverdale's Mathematics Department seeks an enthusiastic and collegial educator to teach Upper School Math (Pre-Calculus & Calculus). This immediate leave replacement opening is 3/4 time for the remainder of the ******** school year. This opportunity will begin as a co-teaching position with current Riverdale faculty, with the hope that the candidate will be able to assume full responsibility of the classes after a transitionary period. We hope for a candidate with deep content knowledge but, as importantly, a solid understanding of how people learn in a lasting and transferable way. We seek a candidate who likes young people and can demonstrate that to them meaningfully, and who sees their job as educating the whole child, not just in their discipline. Transportation: Shuttle service is available to/from the 242nd St / Broadway subway station.
