Job Description Summary Provides care in the treatment of urological disorders, both clinical and surgical in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
Job Description Provides supervision to patients undergoing urological procedures as per guidelines and in accordance with licensure, credentialing, and privileging as a member of the medical staff of SSMCEnsures all services adhere to credentialing and privileging policy of SSMCInvolves the patient and, when appropriate, the patient's family members to explain diagnoses, plan of care, possible outcomes and any other information that should be shared with the patient familyAdheres to documentation standards and policiesEnsures the integrity of clinical care standardsMonitors, evaluates and acts to improve the quality of medical careParticipates in initiatives and clinical research that encourages the sharing of best practices, incorporates data feedback for objective analysis and promotes collaborative improvementsMaintains awareness of new medical and surgical developments in the areas of urological care of patients through continuing medical educationProvides input into patient care rendered by other disciplines outside the department, assuring adherence to acceptable medical care standardsDemonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow colleagues to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environmentMaintains specialization in urology
