We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Urologist for a locum tenens position to provide crucial urology services in southeast Alaska. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a remote, underserved area while experiencing the stunning natural landscapes and unique culture of the area.
Position Overview:Deliver comprehensive outpatient urology care, including patient evaluations, clinical analysis, diagnosis, and ongoing therapy recommendations.Treat a variety of genitourinary disorders affecting the kidneys, bladder, adrenal glands, and male reproductive organs.Conduct urological testing and integrate laboratory tests, radiological studies, and diagnostic exams, such as cystoscopies, in a clinical setting.Perform endoscopic and laparoscopic surgeries as appropriate, covering abdominal, pelvic, and retroperitoneal areas.Collaborate with local medical and administrative teams to develop service line approaches tailored to specific urological needs. Requirements:M.D. or D.O., Board Certified or Board Eligible in UrologyCompletion of an accredited Urology ResidencyActive Alaska medical license or eligibility to obtain oneMinimum of two years of clinical experience in urologyStrong clinical judgment, effective communication skills, and a collaborative approach to patient care About the Area:Southeast Alaska is a region of awe-inspiring natural beauty, rich wildlife, and vibrant cultural offerings.
