Job Summary:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Used Car Manager/ Back up F&I one day a week to join our team at Scranton Motors in Vernon, Connecticut. This is a full-time, salary sales job in the auto industry. As the Used Car Manager/ Back up F&I one day a week, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our used car department and providing backup support for our Finance and Insurance (F&I) department one day a week. This is a management role and requires strong leadership skills, automotive experience, and a customer-focused mindset.Compensation & Benefits:We offer a competitive salary and benefits package for this full-time role, including health insurance, retirement benefits, and employee discounts on vehicle purchases.Responsibilities:Manage all aspects of the used car department, including inventory management, pricing, and sales processes.Ensure the department meets and exceeds sales goals and profitability targets.Train and motivate a team of used car sales consultants to provide exceptional customer service.Oversee the appraisal and acquisition of used vehicles, ensuring proper evaluation and pricing.Provide backup support for the F&I department one day a week, including processing finance and lease contracts, selling additional products, and ensuring compliance with all regulations.Work closely with the service department to ensure efficient reconditioning of used vehicles.Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor strategies to inform decision-making and sales tactics.Maintain a positive and professional relationship with customers, resolving any issues or concerns that may arise.Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to increase used car sales.Requirements:Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in automotive sales, preferably in a management role.Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals.Knowledge of F&I processes, regulations, and products.Strong leadership and coaching skills.Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and make effective decisions.Knowledge of inventory management and pricing strategies.Valid driver's license and clean driving record.EEOC statement:Scranton Motors is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
