The Director, Managed Care will be responsible for working with the health plans on contract negotiations, contract renewals, as well as operational issues. This person will manage managed care contracts and negotiate and manage regional contracts to include all practices/professional entities focusing on closure of the practices/professional entities group's goals and ensuring the contracts and strategies are consistent with the approach of the practices/professional entities.
The Director, Managed Care will develop relationships externally with designated managed care plans at all levels and will also develop relationships internally to work jointly on operational managed care issues and implement resolutions. This person will also communicate throughout the departments and with the practices/professional entities.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in healthcare management, public health, accounting, finance, business, social or behavioral sciences is required; Master's degree preferred. 7 years previous managed care experience. Minimum of seven years of progressive health care management experience required with emphasis in health plan/provider contract negotiations, physician group contracting and strategic planning. Ability to travel up to 25%. The selected candidate will be required to pass Motor Vehicle Record check. Ideal candidate will have demonstrated capacity for results-oriented operational skills in managed care environment. Compensation: Pay: $114,192-$182,416 annually. Compensation depends on location, qualifications, and experience. Position may be eligible for an Annual Incentive Plan bonus of 10%-25% depending on role level.
