The Utility/Dishwasher is accountable for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for all food pans, china, food racks, cooking utensils, kitchenware, etc., using machine and manual cleaning methods.
Ensures areas used to complete these tasks are maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary facility.
Working in a team environment with the ability to be an effective team player Sorting and rinsing dirty dishes, glass, tableware, and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through dish machine Sorting and stacking clean dishes; carrying clean dishes to cook's line and other proper storage areas; rewashing soiled dishes before delivering Washing pots, pans, and trays by hand Removing trash and garbage to the dumpster Setting-up and breaking-down dishwashing area Cleaning and rolling/unrolling mats Filling/emptying soak tubs with cleaning and sanitizing solutions Sweeping/mopping floors Assembling/disassembling dish machine Performing general kitchen cleaning Wiping up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry Notifying Manager anytime dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures Taking pride in personal appearance; reporting to work in a neat and clean uniform; maintaining well-groomed hair and personal hygiene established by company policy Displaying integrity and honesty in all aspects of your employment Performing other duties as directed What you need to have: High energy and stamina are required Ability to stay calm and work efficiently and with a professional demeanor under pressure Ability to prioritize job duties and manage time effectively Basic reading skills required to read labels on chemicals and workplace safety procedure Knowledge of and ability to adhere to workplace safety procedures ServSafe certificate a plus
