OVERVIEW
The utilities perform a variety of tasks within a manufacturing environment.
The main duties of the utilities include ensuring his or her assigned area is clean at all times.
This is a union general labor position.
Utilities will rotate through various positions such as housekeeping, box makers, labeling, scrapper etc.
DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Sweep and mop floors
+ Packing the different products into the relevant areas
+ Runs errands, picks up supplies and materials
+ Reporting to the supervisor on any anomalies in the packaging plant
+ Cleaning up after work or in case of any spills
+ Performing any other job-related tasks issued
+ Required to attend monthly training about safety, operations and Food Quality
+ Transfer supplies received to their appropriate storage location area
JOB REQUIREMENTS
+ Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds
+ Must be comfortable climbing up ladders, working at elevated levels
+ Positive attitude and work ethic
+ Able to work independently or as an active member of a team
+ Valid Drivers License
+ Willingness to perform repetitive tasks
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
+ High school degree or equivalent educational experience
+ Ability to work any shift; must be able to work long hours, rotational shifts including weekends and holidays
+ Must meet hiring eligibility requirements including background investigation and drug screen
+ Must wear all required personal protective equipment
