Prepares distributor and continuously monitors performance to achieve the required specifications for paving. Works closely with other crew members using hand signals to coordinate work and ensure safety. Performs daily inspection and maintenance and ensures that distributor is in safe, proper working order, including fluid checks and adequate lubrication. Reports to shop when distributor needs maintenance and repair. Keeps equipment clean and prepares equipment for transport on flatbed when needed. Maintains orderliness, cleanliness, and safety at the job site. Follows Supervisors instructions closely. Travel may be required to the southern parts of Minnesota, eastern parts of South Dakota, as well as northern Iowa 60-70 hours per week- Monday through Friday, some Saturdays NEVER work a Sunday! Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: CDL A with tanker and hazmat endorsements Current DOT health card Understand the basics of distributor mechanicals. Understand and adhere to all safety regulations. Understand and adhere to the Personal Protection Equipment requirements. An unwavering focus on safety. MSHA | OSHA Willingness to travel throughout Central and Western Minnesota, Northern Iowa, and Eastern Dakotas. Work Environment/Physical Demands: Walk, bend, kneel, lift, stretch and sit. Work outside in all weather conditions. Effectively handle lifting of various objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Regularly work extended | overtime hours outdoors and in various weather conditions at all project locations. Travel is required. Duininck is an equal-opportunity employer.
