Duties and Responsibilities: Perform general clean-up and safety activities including sweeping, trash collection, feeding waste materials into dry hog. Cleaning and painting of equipment and structures. Work well with others in a team environment. Train in various areas of wood production to gain knowledge for future advancement. Follow all company safety rules and PPE use. Follow all company rules and procedures regarding daily work activity. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Must be at least 18 years of age. Previous work experience that demonstrates the ability to hold employment for significant periods of time (2 years or greater). First time employment seekers are welcome. Must be flexible to work 12-hour shifts that include rotating days/nights, weekends and holidays. Must successfully pass pre-employment testing and background checks if given a conditional job offer. Physical and Safety Requirements: (This is a safety sensitive position) Ability to work in an industrial environment that includes heat, cold and noise. Safely operate assigned tools and equipment. Safely maneuver around moving machinery, uneven ground, steps, ladders and stairs. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted. Adherence to consistent hydration schedule. Ability to lift, push, pull and have exposure to various weights and sizes of veneer, plywood, lumber, bark and sawdust. Ability to lift over shoulder/head height. Ability to stoop, walk, stand, push, pull, bend, kneel, climb as to demonstrate a range of motion needed to complete assigned work during 12-hour shifts.
