The Generation & Telecom Safety Team is looking for their next teammate who is ready to contribute and provide a full range of safety and health support at an industrial power generation site near Marble Falls, Texas. We have an outstanding opening for a Utility Safety Specialist that understands how to positively engage with all levels of employees. You will be trusted to:
- Be a safety and health resource LCRA staff in the Generation Operations.
- Assist with incident investigations, tracking, and reporting.
- Schedule and assist with conducting safety orientations, safety training, health training and monthly / quarterly safety meetings.
- Assist with safety and health inspections and audits.
- Participate in the research, development, and implementation of safety policies and procedures.
- Assist staff with project support related to health and safety issues. Prepare health and safety plans for LCRA projects.
- May coordinate medical monitoring activities and schedule employees for testing.
- Provide daily on-site safety support with a strong interpersonal skills to engage with people.
- Travel to other sites occasionally to engage with partners and support other Generation operations.

You qualify with:
- Four or more years of experience in energy generation, electric utility transmission and distribution operations or relevant experience. Experience must include one year of experience with OSHA 1910.269 Electric Power Generation, Transmission, and Distribution and applicable electric utility work practices and safety policies. A degree(s) in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, occupational safety and health, or related field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
- Driver's license
You are a great fit with:
- A degree in Occupational Safety & Health or similar.
- ASP, OHST, or greater certification in the field of Safety & Health.
- Experience in at least one of the following fields: power generation, oil & gas, chemical processing, or manufacturing.
