We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Utility Worker within our Manufacturing team to help support our business. As Utility Worker you will be responsible for keeping designated plant area clean and in good housekeeping order. Operate in accordance with IATF-16949/ISO-9001:2015 standards.
So, what will you be doing as a Utility Worker? Collect scrap and cardboard. The collecting of scrap and trash must be done at first and last of each shift. Check all drums, making sure no wire is above the top of the drum if so, dump. Dump all trash cans inside and outside of the building. Sweep all the floors. When compacting use soft wire only not the bander When all tasks are done, check and fill totes for over mold. At least 2 times a week the floor scrubber should be run. Remove dust of all the totes, lockers, handrails, safety rails and walls where there are cobwebs. Once a week will need to go outside and clean along the driveway To be successful in this role, you'll need: Extensive walking and standing required. Must be motivated. Basic understanding of and full compliance with all standard safety practices.
