Description SEWS - Farmington Hills, Michigan Location Basic Purpose: To lead and support quality and warranty related validation needs.
Qualifications: 0-3 years of experience or equivalent in testing and validation.Detail oriented and strong background in analytics.BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry or equivalent experience required.SEM/EDX or X-RAY/CT experience is a huge plus.
Job Duties and Responsibilities: Work with SEWS quality/warrant groups and various SEWS facilities throughout North Americas and Japan.Understand and follow test specification. Clarify and/or create unique test procedures per customer requirements. Develop and maintain test schedule per customer requests. Make arrangements to meet urgent request.Maintain good documentation and records based on ISO/IATF requirements.Perform testing and analysis on quality/warranty parts. Typically used equipment are push/pull tester, resistance tester, high voltage tester, video/stereo/measurement microscopes, power supplier, DMM, data acquisitions, SEM/EDX and X-Ray.Analyze warranty parts and interpret the test data using problem solving and root cause analysis skills.Prepare detail work instructions, work sheets and evaluation reports.Perform continuous improvement activities.
