Job Description Summary PURPOSE OF THE JOB
• Provides accurate and reliable statistical real estate market data to C&W's V&A National Data Center valuation practice group.
• Provides an advanced level of research support to ensure data integrity.
• Provides internal and external clientele with statistical information on the international, national and local data center trends and markets.
Job Description PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES With direction from V&A's Executive Managing Director/National Data Center Lead, this person is responsible for all information and materials for the data center niche asset class on an asset level, local, national and international level.Research and write national and regional market reports, as well as maintain the data center comparable database in support of data center advisory and valuation assignments.Interact with and directly work with Appraisers in the preparation of advisory and valuation services.Assist in the development of a proprietary comparable database for data center lease, sale, rate of return, construction costs and return on cost that will be interrogated into the advisory and valuation reports.Assist in the quality control of data, products and services provided by the V&A National Data Center team.Train and orient core business units and administrative assistants on Research products, databases and services.Assist in identifying new market trends to target for branding.Assist in training/orientating new Research hires with use of standard local orientation materials. KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree required.3-5 years of research-related experience required within the real estate and/or data center industry.Basic understanding of commercial real estate fundamentals.Writing and analytical experience required.Computer proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.Strong attention to detail.Excellent organizational skills including the ability to multi-task.Ability to work independently and collaboratively on assigned projects.Outstanding communication skills and the ability to interact with both internal and external clients.Proficiency in the proprietary database as to input and output.Ability to efficiently perform tasks and demonstrate a high level of proficiency in all related software.Excellent understanding of statistical calculations involved in correctly reporting vacancy rates, absorption, construction, rental rates, leasing, sales activity, renovation and proposed activity.Personnel and workflow management. The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate's experience and qualifications. The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role. The compensation for the position is: $72,250.00 - $85,000.00.
