Need of a BC/BE vascular surgeon to join a very busy, established practice in the beautiful foothills of western NC.Position details are: Hospital Employed with an instant referral base from a 17 practice primary care medical group.Join a comprehensive group of 5 surgeons and 5 APPs with a call ratio of 1:5.Work in a beautiful office.Competitive base salary with RVU productivity bonus.Full benefits including malpractice, health, dental, life, disability, etc. 3 weeks PTO which increases at year 3, 7 paid holidays, and 1 week unpaid time off. 1 week reimbursed CME; $6,500 CME allowance.Relocation and sign-on bonus offered.Community DetailsThe city of Hickory has a population of about 45,000; however, we serve a population of over 350,000.It is a safe, family-friendly community that offers an abundance of outdoor activities, a variety of shopping and restaurants, a low cost of living, and close proximity to an international airport.Hickory is just 45 minutes NW of Charlotte, an hour east of Asheville, and 4 hours from the coast.The mountains of the high country are also an hour away and offer additional outdoor activities, including snow skiing.CompensationThe starting salary is $40,000 to $65,000 more compared to starting salaries in Charlotte. Coupled with a cost of living that is 20% lower than the aforementioned metropolitan areas, this provides significant purchasing power.
