Surgical Affiliates Management Group, Inc. (SAMGI) is seeking an additional Vascular Surgeon to join our team at Kern Medical in Bakersfield, CA. The successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to help grow Kern Medical's new comprehensive vascular program, providing high-quality patient care in a tertiary academic Level II trauma center with an abundant case volume. This role encompasses both clinical excellence and collaborative, long-term engagement with hospital teams and leadership.

Key Responsibilities: Attending on vascular surgery service, managing both primary and consultation patients.
Providing inpatient vascular surgery consults, trauma, emergent, and urgent vascular surgeries.
Participating in night and weekend endovascular and open vascular call rotations.
Developing an elective vascular surgery practice, including outpatient clinics and scheduled OR blocks.
Contributing to the growth of Kern Medical's new comprehensive vascular program.
Common Diagnoses and Procedures: Cardiac Vascular Disease
Peripheral Arterial Disease
Carotid Disease
Vascular Surgery
Femoral Popliteal Bypass
Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair
Management of Groin Complications and Retroperitoneal Bleeds
Support Team:
You will be supported by a skilled team, including RNs, MAs, and vascular ultrasound technicians, ensuring a collaborative and efficient work environment.

Qualifications: Must possess or be eligible for a California medical license.
Completed an ACGME-accredited General Surgery residency program and a Vascular Surgery fellowship.
Three to five years of post-fellowship clinical experience preferred; exceptional new graduates with strong references will be considered.
Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery and fellowship-trained in Vascular Surgery.
Strong clinical focus, excellent interpersonal skills, and a commitment to patient satisfaction and program growth.
