.Eaton's Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a VAT Controversy Lawyer.**What you'll do**:**Job summary**As a part of the VAT Controversy team, the VAT Controversy Lawyer will support the Indirect Tax Controversy Manager on tasks related with the VAT claim procedures such as: Review the VAT refund requests prepared by the COE, support to prepare the written responses to the information requests issued by the SAT, attend notification diligences, audits on indirect tax, third party inquiries, attend domicile audits in coordination with the COE, provide advisory and support compliance processes, among others.- **Job responsibilities**- Maintain an updated VAT calendar of all upcoming and open procedures- Review the VAT refund requests prepared by the VAT CoE or validate in a second level the VAT claims reviewed by the VAT Controversy Coops and follow-up until their filing.- Preparation of written responses to information and documentation requests issued by the SAT which are mainly issued within the VAT claims procedures, besides provding suppor to prepare the writing to response: VAT audits, third parties, invitation letters, deep surveillances, etc. and the review of the documentary support to be provided to the Mexican IRS.- Collaborates with the tax teams to coordinate and collect the necessary information needed to prepare responses to VAT authorities information and documentation requests, provides advisory on Indirect Tax matters to the CoE, Ops, and Builds organizational capabilities with other areas like legal, finance, ops.- Ensure electronic archiving of the documents required to attend Tax authorities Audits.- Attend notification diligencies.- Support to attend domicile audits in coordination with the Indirect Tax Team.- Effective representation at VAT Authorities meetings with the aim of fast resolution, clarify specific operations or stopping controversy before it occurs.- Work on special projects related to automation and continuos improvements related to the VAT controversy activities and document internal processes and controls.**Qualifications**:**Education level required**- Bachelor Degree (Law)**Years and area of experience required**- 3 Years.**Skills**:**Technical knowledge**Proficient on legal writing and tax proceedings.High quality in analysis of what documentary support is needed and its validation, identifying options, reporting VAT risks and opportunities, delivering timely and high-quality written responses to the VAT information and documentation requests.
