Function:
The primary role of the Restaurant General Manager will be to supervise and manage the front of the house operations for the Salt & Meadow Restaurant.
Work Performed:
Supervise the front of house restaurant operations to ensure compliance with resort's objectives and the health and safety of our employees and guests.Train staff in standards, including Forbes, all menu items and overall food & beverage functions.Ensure all departmental work schedules follow staffing guidelines and that staffing levels are sufficient to provide excellent and memorable customer serviceInteract positively with guests while providing a high-quality dining experience.Promote the resort's facilities and services. Manage guest feedback and resolve any issues.Organize any restaurant special events.Monitor and take action to ensure food quality and service standards are met. Maintain positive employee morale and encourage team building.Maintain profitability of the restaurant to support the overall resort operation.Ensure par stock levels are maintained, order and retrieve supplies and stock.Evaluate cost effectiveness of all aspects of operation.Create forecasts and revenue reports.Ensure maintenance of equipment and train staff on proper use.Manage special projects, run promotions, handle public relations, and marketing.Maintain and enforce food handling regulations and other guidelines.Minimum Requirements and skills: College degree preferred.8 plus years of previous Food & Beverage experienceWorking knowledge of Forbes standards At least 5 plus years as a General Manager in a luxury restaurant preferred.Must have a general understanding of budgets, P&L statements and Capex.Knowledge of F&B systems, inventory and point of sales systems.Ability to communicate across all departments.Expert knowledge of Food & Beverage outlet operationsBenefits: 401(k)Paid Time OffHealth InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceLife InsuranceEmployee discountRelocation assistance
