Responsibilities
• Develop rapport with clients and determine their needs• Perform physical examinations and diagnostic procedures• Explain findings and communicate diagnosis to clients• Educate clients on preventative health care• Maintain medical records and assist in patient management• Stay up-to-date with new medical information• Develop the paraprofessional team• Represent the hospital in the professional community• Treat every client and patient with care and compassion
Requirements
• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree• Licensure in good standing to practice in Tennessee• Professional comportment and appearance• Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude• Effective communication and decision-making skills• Respect for and willingness to work with clients and their pets• Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine• Proficiency in surgery is a plus
