Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Oncology Assistant to join our dynamic team at Gold Coast Center for Veterinary Care.


The ideal candidate should possess a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for providing exceptional care to pets facing oncological challenges.
While prior veterinary experience is desirable, we are open to training the right candidate who demonstrates a strong commitment to learning and teamwork.


Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Acquiring history from clients Restraining for IV catheter placement Holding for chemo treatments Assisting with diagnostics (xray, bloodwork, etc) Call in medications to pharmacy Client communications regarding status of pet and go over medications Keep work stations well organized, clean, and stocked Skills Knowledge and Expertise High school diploma or GED required Preferred have at least 1 year of veterinary oncology Must be a bright, friendly, and effective communicator in order to communicate with clients, visitors, veterinarians, and other hospital staff.
