Veterinary Surgeon at Bitterroot Veterinary Specialists in Missoula, Montana. We are currently looking for a veterinary surgeon to join our awesome team!Bitterroot Veterinary Specialists is located in the beautiful western Montana town of Missoula. Missoula is the second largest city in the state. Located at the convergence of five mountain ranges along the Clark Fork River, Missoula has seemingly limitless outdoor opportunities. From world class fly fishing, boating, skiing, hunting, golfing, hiking and biking, there is something for everyone. Missoula is home of the University of Montana and is considered the cultural center of Montana. Pet lovers abound in Missoula and the referring vet community has been nothing but welcoming of specialty medicine to the region.Privately owned, Bitterroot Veterinary Specialists was founded in 2020 by Dr. Josh Jackson and Jason Wheeler, both board certified veterinary surgeons. Bitterroot is the sister hospital to Bridger Veterinary Specialists in Bozeman Montana and are the only 2 multidisciplinary specialty referral hospitals in the state. We have joined forces with Sentinel Veterinary Medical Center, a local emergency group to build a brand new 8,000 square foot, state of the art clinic. The new clinic will be complete in June of 2021 and have digital radiography, CT scan, GE Logiq S8 ultrasound, fluoroscopy, arthroscopy, 2 well equipped surgery suites, endoscopy, laparoscopy, critical care cage and oncology suite.We offer a generous compensation package with comprehensive health care, dental insurance, matching 401K, paid vacation and relocation expenses. Ownership potential is available after 1 year of employment. We recommend a four day work week with no overnight or emergency coverage, but part time candidates will also be considered.
