Veterinary Technician Responsibilities include:
* Providing MEMORABLE client service and INDIVIDUALIZED patient care
* Competency in routine nursing care & treatments including IV fluid administration, vaccines & medication administration, and wound management
* Preparing prescription medications, taking radiographs, and completing medical records
* Processing in-hospital and reference laboratory diagnostic testing
* Setting patient catheters, preparing for surgical procedures, and monitoring general anesthesia
* All aspects of exam room communication and protocols such as obtaining history, TPR, client communication, and briefing veterinarians
* Performing toe nail trims, blood draws, ear cleanings, and gland expressions
* Assisting with the care of boarding & hospitalized animals and maintaining cleanliness of kennels
* Help the team maintain a clean medical facility
Requirements:
* AWESOME positive attitude and enjoys teamwork
* Required: 2+ years of Vet Tech experience in a veterinary facility
* Required: Technician Certification (CVT)
* GREAT communication and computer skills
* Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, and climb; as well as lift, carry, move up to 50 pounds
