MVA has excellent employee benefits, just to name a few: health insurance, generous paid time off, employee recognition program, education assistance, continuing education allowance, team member focused training to reach personal and professional goals, team events, and a great work atmosphere.  Veterinary Technician – Emergency Coordinator  We are looking to add to our growing hospital and are in search of a Veterinary Nurse (Vet Tech) with at least three years of experience in veterinary medicine to work as our Emergency Coordinator. Experience with emergency medicine needed. Current CVT/LVT/RVT preferred or educational equivalent. The schedule we are hiring for are: Sunday through Wednesday 9p-7a (or 10p - 8am)   Requirements Your skills & experience and how you'll utilize them to help our patients :  Experience in emergency veterinary medicine (at least 3 years) Broad knowledge of basic small animal medicine (pharmacology, proper restraint/handling, venipuncture, laboratory testing) Thorough understanding and knowledge of medical terminology, medications, and disease processes Responsible for maintaining the flow of tasks and manage the treatment room needs Assignment of nurses to patients, shift roles, and other tasks as they present Attend, update and pass on patient rounds Perform various treatments on an in-house and outpatient basis Position and capture of radiographs Investigate and deescalate conflict among team members and clients in the absence of management Ensure protocols and policies are followed by team members Receive call outs/lateness phone calls informing the appropriate manager of occurrences, and determine the need for on-call team member usage Attention to detail and a calm demeanor Ability to work in a fast paced, environment Proficient computer skills Communicate with clients, and team members (verbally and written) Fear Free handling: safe, stress free interactions for team members, clients, and patients Our top tier benefits include: Mid shift and weekend schedules eligible for shift differentials Leading industry compensation Education Assistance Program & tuition reimbursement Medical, Dental and Vision insurance available Disability and Life Insurance Flexible hours - encouraging a solid work life balance Paid time off Paid volunteer time off $200 annual scrub/shoe allowance Continuing education paid time off and allowance (for licensed and non-licensed team members) Retirement plan including matching funds Team member recognition, and reward platform through WorkTango Employee discount (20% off services, supplies at cost) Pet bereavement day paid Pet adoption reimbursement Pregnancy related and Parental leaves provided at 100% pay Team members snacks, coffee, fresh fruit provided daily Mentorship with a team dedicated to Education and Development Emotional support and well-being benefits for team members Unlimited growth potential Everyone is on a first name basis in our inclusive, friendly, comfortable work environment A strong focus on team member well being Team member events Salary: From $28.00 per hour  #ACP1
