ICU Overview:
The purpose of an ICU is to have the critical patients that require intensive care in one area that is organized to administer the highest level of close monitoring and care.
Our ICU is comprised of critical patients, in addition to patients that are at risk of acute decompensation and therefore, require close monitoring.
The ICU is open to all services, so there are patients from all departments in the ICU.
We are hiring exceptional Veterinary Technicians to join our team as we continue to grow our ICU nursing team comprised of technicians that enjoy caring for the sickest patients, pay close attention to detail, and would like to advance their critical care nursing skills.
In order to provide the best care to our patients and recognize decompensation of patients as soon as possible, both the ICU doctors and ICU nurses work closely as a team.
Nurses are a fundamental part of patient recovery and will have increased responsibility in the ICU.
Below is a list of ICU-specific skills and procedures that each nurse is expected to achieve.
