Friendship Hospital For Animals is seeking a Veterinary Anesthesia Technician to join our diagnostic imaging team! About the role: As a Veterinary MRI Technician at Friendship Hospital for Animals, you will be an integral part of our advanced diagnostic imaging team. This role involves operating MRI equipment to obtain high-quality images, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and collaborating with veterinarians to provide exceptional care for our patients.
\n Key Responsibilities:Operate and maintain MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images in accordance with hospital protocols. Prepare patients for MRI procedures, including proper positioning and monitoring during scans. Collaborate with Radiologists to ensure appropriate imaging studies are completed for diagnostic needs. Ensure patient safety by adhering to MRI safety protocols, including monitoring for contraindications such as metal implants or devices. Maintain accurate patient records, including imaging logs and reports. Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of MRI equipment. Perform simple calculations for the administration of IV contrast. Clean and organize the MRI suite to maintain a safe and efficient work environmenton Call schedule is required Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent (required). Certification or degree in veterinary technology, radiologic technology, or a related field (preferred). Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.) certification (preferred). Experience with MRI equipment in veterinary or human medicine (preferred). Minimum 1 year work experience Strong understanding of MRI safety protocols and procedures. Computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, e-mail, and imaging PACS. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.  Physical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods (up to 8 hours per shift). Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds. Manual dexterity to operate MRI equipment and handle patients safely. Adequate vision and hearing to perform imaging tasks and monitor patients effectively. Ability to work in an environment with potential exposure to animal dander, allergens, and bodily fluids. Comfortable working in a confined MRI suite and adhering to strict safety protocols.  BenefitsCompetitive salary based on experience and qualifications.Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance.Continuing education opportunities and support for professional development.
