About the Job: The oncology veterinary technician is responsible for the general nursing care and treatment of animal patients. The oncology assistant will take direction from and perform duties under the supervision of doctors.
How you'll make a difference:Placement and maintenance of IV cathetersCalculate and administer both oral and injectable medicationsAccuracy in calculating, delivering, and maintaining anesthetic agents, fluids, and CRIsSafely position and take radiographs and obtain and prepare various blood samples for diagnostic testingAdminister chemotherapy as directed, ensuring all protocols are followed and adhered toProvide quality, compassionate care for hospitalized patientsProviding extensive client communication and education on various oncology disease processesMaintain accurate treatment sheets What you will bring:Experience working as a Licensed Veterinary TechnicianWill consider candidates with 2+ years veterinary assistant experience or currently enrolled in veterinary program for a veterinary assistant position in the departmentProviding empathy, comfort, and unparalleled nursing care to all patients and their ownersPositive outlook, ability to work in a highly collaborative environment, and commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and communityExcellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to deliver exceptional client service is expected.Honesty, integrity, and a desire to learn and have fun! Schedule: Full-Time position, 4x10 day shifts within Mon-Fri
