Develop and enhance new and existing WPF / C#.NET front office applications and services with a strong focus on Trading of Listed securities. Work jointly with portfolio managers, business analysts, and peer teams, capturing, understanding intricate business requirements and developing tactical & strategic solutions for Cash and Sales traders. Balance solution delivery with design and architecture practices to ensure high quality, performance and maintainability. Enhance existing computer platforms and applications with a focus on complexity and system performance. Integrate solutions with existing complex and legacy applications and services. Collaborate closely with quality assurance team to develop comprehensive test cases. Communicate and collaborate with trading desk, middle office personnel and peer technology teams. Provide level 2 application support for multiple trading applications to the trading desks those split across the multiple regions.
Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $215,000 and $215,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor's in Computer Applications, Computer Science, or a related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or a related occupation. Requires five (5) years of experience with: Building multi-threaded UI applications and services using C#.net and WPF/MVVM; Web API, and SQL Server; working with real time or near real time trading systems; distributed object and SOA architectures; asynchronous development and real-time messaging; Agile and DevOps environment; methodologies including CI / CD pipeline for packaging and deploying artifacts; financial products, including listed securities; RDBMS including Microsoft SQL Server.
