The VP of Client Sales has primary responsibility over the Client Sales team in the Western half of the country; the team who calls on existing employer clients with more than 2,500 employees. The VP Client Sales is tasked with delivering on our top line revenue goals. Additional responsibilities include the formation and execution of our commercial strategy, building and leading the commercial organization, and acting as the voice of the market to company leadership. The VP Client Sales will sit on the Employer Leadership Team and report directly to the SVP of Employer Sales.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manage a team of RVPs (Regional Vice Presidents) and RSDs (Regional Sales Directors) as they sell Teladoc Health's suite of services to employers with more than 2,500 employees.
Build strategic prospect and consultant relationships at the C-Suite and senior leadership levels, in order to help advance deals.
Help create a compelling vision for our clients and the market, and lead the team in realizing that vision.
Establish priorities for the team and a strategic plan to execute on those priorities.
Develop and monitor key performance metrics for the team to drive pipeline and deal acceleration.
Accurately forecast pipeline activity and close business.
Maximize and achieve quarterly and annual bookings, revenue and margin goals while staying within the allocated budget.
Help the team increase market share through client expansion and upsell.
Demonstrate a broad comprehension of the customer's needs, market trends, industry challenges, competitive dynamics, and relevant products and technologies.
Work closely with senior leadership from other functions to incorporate external insight into increasingly compelling products, services, marketing, and operations.
Recruit and retain top talent.
Qualifications Expected for Position
Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications (Marketing or Public Relations), or a related discipline. Master's degree preferred.
Proven track record of success working with large employers, providers, and healthcare payers.
10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, including 3+ years of sales management experience.
Experience in a business-to-business environment, selling healthcare services; preference for complex and strategic sales experience.
Healthcare Technology and/or Digital Health experience a plus.
Experience managing, selling, and marketing in a regulated medical products environment.
Experience selling new products and solutions and establishing go-to-market strategy.
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with highly talented senior leaders across multiple functions.
Ability to energize, develop and build rapport at all levels within an organization.
The base salary range for this position is $200,000.00 - $215,000.00 base salary + competitive commission + equity package, and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here: Teladoc Health Benefits 2024 . Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.
