We are seeking an experienced and dynamic VP of Credit to lead and develop our underwriting team, driving strategic improvements and maintaining the highest standards of credit quality. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the VP of Credit will be responsible for managing the performance and growth of the underwriting team while overseeing the development and execution of data-driven strategies and processes to optimize efficiency and productivity.

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $175,000 to $350,000 per year. In order to provide a competitive compensation package, Mulligan Funding takes into account a variety of factors including but not limited to market compensation data, relevant experience, skills, education, and certifications.
Required Skills:You have:
A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.A minimum of 10 years' experience in C&I and/or small business lending.A minimum of 5 years' experience managing credit teams.A comprehensive understanding of credit risk management, credit lifecycle, metrics, and processes.Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to problem-solving and goal-setting.Advanced financial analysis skills and expertise in commercial loan structuring and creative loan solutions.Deep knowledge of the small business lending landscape and familiarity with various industry risk segments.Proven ability to communicate effectively, build relationships, and influence stakeholders (internal and external).Experience collaborating with technology teams to improve, develop, and customize underwriting systems and processes.Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, various CRM's, and ability to quickly adapt to new software and CRM systems.You may also have:
Cross-functional experience working with data analytics and credit modeling teams.Expertise in working with datasets and generating actionable insights through report creation and manipulation.A demonstrated ability to navigate regulatory risk and adapt to changing compliance environments.A comprehensive understanding of fraud identification strategies and current fraud tactics in the industry.Master's degree, MBA, or equivalent work experience in risk management, particularly in banking, small business lending, or fraud risk is strongly preferred.
