DescriptionThe Global Risk Solutions (GRS) Compliance Officer is responsible for oversight of a global team of compliance professionals, ensuring compliance with global policies and standards as well as regulatory frameworks, identifying and documenting compliance risks, and developing appropriate controls across the countries where we operate. This role involves developing and executing the strategy for our compliance program, fostering collaboration and strong communication with business partners, and seamless coordination with legal, risk, and audit teams.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee a global team of Compliance professionals across multiple countries, ensuring effective management and coordination and ensuring an enterprise view across locations.
Drive the development and implementation of a comprehensive compliance framework that enables a culture of integrity and accountability throughout the organization.
Serve as the primary point of contact and advisor for senior management on all compliance matters, providing guidance and recommendations to enhance the Compliance program and manage risks.
Collaborate with key stakeholders, including Risk, Legal, and Audit teams, to continuously manage compliance risk, including risk assessment, monitoring, and testing programs to ensure the effectiveness of the Compliance function.
Develop and implement compliance programs and initiatives that address current and emerging regulatory risks.
Proactively assess and analyze regulatory developments, industry trends, and emerging risks to identify potential impact on the organization and recommend appropriate actions.
Define and execute a robust compliance testing and monitoring program, implement remediation plans, ensuring timely resolution and remediation.
Lead and champion the adoption of advanced technology solutions, data analytics, and automation tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Compliance Program.
Collaborate with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, industry associations, and relevant forums, to stay abreast of industry best practices and contribute to the development of regulatory policies and standards.
QualificationsJuris Doctorate degree.
Minimum 15 years of relevant Compliance and/or Legal experience, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry.
Proven track record of leading global teams
Experience in complex global compliance issues faced by global insurance carriers, including financial crimes, data privacy, and global regulatory issues.
Strong leadership, interpersonal, influencing, relationship building, and communication skills with the ability to effectively influence and communicate at all levels of the organization and manage multiple stakeholder relationships.
Ability to interact effectively with stakeholders, including in person and virtual interactions, and to build relationships within the business and compliance organizations.
Exceptional strategic decision-making abilities and the capability to elevate serious matters to the appropriate executive level.
Demonstrated teamwork skills and the ability to foster productive working relationships across all levels and organizational lines.
Excellent analytical and integrative thinking, business judgment, financial acumen, and ability to manage in uncertain situations.
Proven ability to lead change effectively in an organization.
Well-developed facilitation and consensus-building skills.
