The NeedFor over 25 years, IJM has pioneered the work to protect vulnerable people from violence. 9 out of 9 times in the last decade, IJM's Justice System Strengthening Projects have reduced slavery and violence between 50 and 85% for very large populations of people in poverty. As we grow to expand our impact to protect 500 million people from violence, we are seeking a Vice President, HR Operations.
The Vice President, HR Operations is a strategic leadership role within the Global People Support division, responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of HR operations. This includes developing and implementing compensation and benefits frameworks, ensuring compliance with international and domestic labor laws, managing HR policies, and leading HRIS team and HR analytics to drive informed decision making throughout the organization. This role will lead a team of 3-4 direct reports and work collaboratively with other senior leaders to support IJM's strategic goals and objectives.
This position is based in the Washington, DC area and is available to be hybrid (onsite Tuesdays & Thursdays). It reports to the Chief People Officer and is only available for candidates with the right to work in the US. Responsibilities:Global Compensation & Benefits Develop the total rewards strategy in alignment with IJM's core values and objectives.Provide leadership and strategic guidance for the development and management of the global job architecture, ensuring consistent job leveling and compensation structures across all regions.Oversee the creation and implementation of promotion guidelines and policies that align with organizational objectives.Conduct global compensation benchmarking, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring competitive compensation packages.Oversee the administration of US employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.Develop, update, and maintain employee handbooks across the globe, to ensure they reflect current policies and practices, and are fully aligned with IJM's organizational values and objectives.Compliance & Policies Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, managing federal and state reporting, conducting audits, and maintaining the global HR policy book.Develop and oversee remote work policies and ensure compliance with local and tax laws.Manage the process of employee terminations and separations, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and best practices.Develop policies for severance, terminations, and separations.Oversee global mobility programs, including expatriate assignments, immigration, and relocation services.HRIS, HR Data, and People Analytics Develop and manage HR metrics and data to support strategic decision making.Manage HRIS Director, ensuring high levels of customer service to the organization.Create and maintain HR dashboards and reports to provide insights and track key performance indicators.Leverage people analytics to understand workforce trends, improve employee engagement, and inform HR strategies.General Tasks Participate in IJM's community of spiritual formation.Qualifications:Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field; master's degree preferred.Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least five years in a senior leadership role in HR operations.Proven experience in global compensation and benefits, HR compliance, and HRIS.Technical Competencies Strong understanding of federal, state, and international labor laws.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills.Proficient in Workday and HR analytical tools.Critical Qualities:Eager commitment to IJM's Core Values: Christian, Professional and Bridge-Building.Self-starter with strong initiative.Disciplined with priorities.Strong interpersonal skills and self-awareness.Exceptional verbal and written communication.Flexible, collaborative and eager to support others.Effective team player who fosters a collaborative environment.Adept at creative problem solving.Able to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.Application Process:Upload Resume, Cover Letter & Statement of Faith in one PDF document.
