Rewriting the Code (RTC) is on a mission to empower the next generation of women in technology, and we are seeking a Vice President of Philanthropy to lead our strategic fundraising initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact by fostering relationships with mission-aligned funders, driving innovative strategies, and advancing workplace equity.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Planning & Execution Develop and implement a multi-year fundraising strategy in collaboration with the CEO, aligned with RTC's mission and growth objectives.Secure six- and seven-figure gifts from diverse donors, including corporate, foundation, and individual contributors.Lead innovative revenue strategies to diversify and sustain funding sources.Stay informed on trends in corporate philanthropy, diversity initiatives, and workplace equity to identify opportunities.Represent RTC at high-profile events, conferences, and donor meetings.Philanthropic Partnership Development Build and strengthen relationships with corporate partners, acting as the primary liaison to enhance engagement.Manage board-facilitated introductions to deepen connections with key funders.Oversee a dynamic portfolio of donors, fostering meaningful partnerships through consistent communication and stewardship.Proposal Development & Stewardship Collaborate with internal teams to align funding proposals with RTC's goals.Create compelling, mission-aligned proposals and ensure compliance in all funding processes.Implement systems to monitor donor engagement and impact metrics effectively.What We're Looking ForEducation & Experience Bachelor's degree in business administration, non-profit management, marketing, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.10+ years of proven experience in fundraising, corporate partnerships, philanthropy, or business development.Demonstrated success in securing six- and seven-figure commitments.Skills & Attributes Expertise in developing and executing strategic fundraising plans.Strong knowledge of compliance and reporting requirements for philanthropic initiatives.Proficiency in digital tools and platforms, including CRM systems, marketing automation tools, and cloud-based office suites.Passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a commitment to RTC's mission of empowering women in technology.What We OfferMission-Driven Impact: Directly contribute to connections and initiatives that empower women in tech and promote diversity and inclusion.Vibrant, Collaborative Workplace: Thrive in a collaborative and remote-first workplace. This role only supports remote work within the US. Monday-Friday, standard business hours with the ability to flex to support in-person collaboration, and minimal business travel if needed. It is preferred that candidates reside within a reasonable commuting distance to the Raleigh-Durham area. Competitive Compensation. We are dedicated to pay equity best practices, which also ensures our offers are presently fairly, and represent our best and final. The nationwide hiring range for this position is between $165,000-$185,000. Annual performance bonus offered. Offers are determined through interviews, reviewing and assessing a candidate's qualifications (experience, education, knowledge, skills, abilities), internal equity and alignment with market data.
