About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Media Relations to lead the development and execution of a global media strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing comprehensive media plans that align with business objectives, as well as managing a team to ensure strategic goals are met. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proactive approach to storytelling, strong relationships with the media, and the ability to serve as a key spokesperson. The VP of Media Relations will also be tasked with overseeing the creation of press materials, monitoring industry trends, and providing insights to senior leadership. Applicants for the VP of Media Relations position at the company should be passionate, motivated, and have a minimum of 10-15 years' experience in media relations or public relations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. A background in corporate communications is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successful media relations strategies, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to manage sensitive issues with excellent crisis management abilities. A deep understanding of the media landscape, including digital and social media trends, is essential, as is the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously. The role demands a leader with an established network of media contacts and a commitment to the values of the company.
