Business Classifications B2C About the Role The Company is seeking an Obesity Development Lead, Vice President to take on a senior leadership role within its Global Product Development.
The successful candidate will be the single point of accountability for obesity-related programs, overseeing and directing a team of Medicine Team Leads, Global Clinical Leads, and Category Clinicians.
This role is pivotal in building end-to-end development plans for obesity assets, from phase 3 to post-marketing, and in designing and delivering seamless execution for business development efforts in internal medicine.
The Obesity Development Lead will also be responsible for all obesity-related diligence efforts, bringing GPD development expertise to the table, and coordinating business development integration efforts.
The position requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership and communication skills, capable of leading cross-functional teams and engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
Candidates for this role at the company should have an MD or MD/PhD, with a minimum of 5 years' of obesity-related clinical development activities and at least 15 years of relevant drug development experience.
A proven track record in drug development team environments, significant leadership experience, and a strong understanding of drug development programs are essential.
The role demands an individual with the ability to manage effectively across a complex matrix organization, experience in global regulatory submissions, and a history of successful health authority interactions.
The ideal candidate will be an organized, independent, and self-motivated leader with exceptional presentation and communication skills, capable of fostering a culture of innovation and managing risks and opportunities to maximize asset value.
