DescriptionCobalt is seeking a dynamic VP of Engineering to lead and mentor a global team of engineers to build the world's most powerful AI driven offensive security platform.
Reporting to the CTO, you will work closely with product management to execute the technology initiatives required to support the company's rapid growth plans.
What You'll DoLead, hire, manage, mentor, and coach a team of global engineers as we build the leading scalable Offensive Security PlatformOwn the ongoing improvements of our existing offerings and the build out of new innovative products as we grow our portfolioCollaborate with the senior leadership team on cross functional initiativesOwn the technical vision and architecture of our platform, ensuring that we are building for scale, stability, and resiliencyFoster a culture of innovation and experimentationCreate and implement standards around quality, efficiency and securityDrive the adoption of best practices in engineering design, architecture, and development, ensuring all solutions are scalable, resilient, and high-performingDevelop and own the strategy to continuously improve engineering quality and efficiency leveraging AI technologies, coding best practices, and agile methodologiesYou Have15+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in building SaaS cybersecurity products.Experience with Secure SDL best practices and building DevOps/DevSecOps teamsLed distributed international engineering teamsRecent expertise building AI enabled products and leading data science teamsStrong internal and external communication skills; experience working with a variety of business functionsHigh emotional intelligence, adaptable, and comfortable with changeDemonstrated ability to manage and scale engineering teams effectively, with a focus on technical excellenceProven ability to recruit, mentor, and retain great peopleProven ability to thrive with a high level of autonomy and responsibilityCandidate is located in East Coast Time ZoneWhy You Should Join UsGrow in a passionate, rapidly expanding industry operating at the forefront of the Offensive Security industryWork directly with experienced senior leaders with ongoing mentorship opportunitiesEarn competitive compensation and an attractive equity planLeverage stipends for:Work-from-home equipment & wifiMake the most of our flexible, generous paid time off and paid parental leavePay Range DisclosureCobalt is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
The salary range for this role is ($225,000 - $285,000) per year + equity + benefits.
A candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, and certifications.
The salary range may differ in other states and may be impacted by proximity to major metropolitan cities.
