The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive strategy to secure support from corporate and individual donors, aiming to meet and exceed annual fundraising targets.
This role involves leading the corporate and major gifts strategy, cultivating relationships with high-capacity donors, and overseeing a team of fundraisers.
The VP will also be expected to engage with the Board of Directors, work closely with the executive team, and ensure that the principles of REDI are integrated into all fundraising practices.
Applicants for the Vice President of National Philanthropy position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a preference for candidates holding an MBA, MPA, or similar degree.
A minimum of 8 years of professional fundraising experience, including a proven track record of securing six and seven-figure gifts, is required.
The ideal candidate will have experience in managing a layered fundraising team, be adept at strategic thinking, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A deep belief in the mission of the organization and a commitment to the principles of race, equity, diversity, and inclusion are essential.
The role demands a self-starter with a proactive and optimistic mindset, capable of fostering strong relationships both internally and externally.
