Job Summary: The Vice President of Sales is responsible for leading strategic relationship-building and growth initiatives to meet strategic objectives and foster strong, mutually beneficial relationships.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Emphasize proactive business development, account management, and consultative selling, with a clear focus on achieving both short- and long-term profitable growth.Build and maintain strong relationships with key, high level customer contacts and act as the lead point of contact for the assigned customer account.Achieve financial goals, securing orders to meet revenue targets, in line with profitability expectations.Leverage a network of industry contacts to identify potential clients and facilitate introductions, discussions, and new business opportunities.Serve as a brand ambassador, representing the Company at industry events and customer meetings to strengthen the Company's reputation and presence.Engage with internal stakeholders to perform consultative selling, qualify leads, and close prioritized business opportunities.Manage the sales funnel, oversee contract negotiations, and ensure profitable sales operations across key programs. Oversee the transition to operations, collaborating with delivery and sourcing teams to support seamless service execution.Develop and implement sales methodologies, lead the creation of compelling proposals and presentations tailored to customer needs, and coordinate the end-to-end sales process.Collaborate with the marketing team to identify and pursue new business opportunities, expand the services portfolio, and support the development of marketing and communication materials.Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies, methods, costs, and results.Manage sales and marketing budgets and oversee internal operating budgets.Create effective sales plans that increase existing business and capture new opportunities.Assist with the preparation of Requests for Proposal (RFP), sales, and marketing presentations.Present new business opportunities to Senior Management.Conduct regular performance, marketing, and competitive analyses of high-value investment projects to identify business opportunities and available insights for strategic decision-making.Other duties as assigned.Supervisory Job Duties: • Carries out supervisory duties in accordance with the Company's objectives, policies, and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: planning, assigning, and directing work, interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing employee concerns, and partnering with HR to resolve escalated employee matters.
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.
Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from a four-year college or university.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a sales-oriented role within or facing Tier 1 Telecommunications carriers or similar industries.Demonstrated experience of business development with the ability to cultivate and maintain both internal and external client relationships and establish new connections with key decision-makers.Technical Skills: Computer and Microsoft Office proficiency.Strong understanding of Telecommunications Technologies like 5G, fiber optics, SD-WAN, IoT, VoIP, and MPLS.Working knowledge of carrier-specific products and services, including wireless, broadband, and enterprise solutions.Proficiency in Salesforce or other CRM platforms to manage sales pipelines, forecast revenue, and maintain customer relationships.Understanding of telecom service level agreements, pricing models, and contractual requirements specific to Tier 1 carrier partnerships.Soft Skills: Superior business and financial acumen.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Detail oriented, persuasive, and excellent presentation skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, committed to meeting objectives and providing accountability.Leadership skills with experience managing complex client relationships and working collaboratively with internal stakeholders.Highly self-driven, organized, and capable of working independently.Demonstrated interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills, with the ability to navigate diverse corporate environments.Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment under strict deadlines.Physical Requirements: Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing.Must have a valid driver's license and a driving record that meets Company requirements.Sitting at a desk for 6-8 hours a day.Working on a computer for 6-8 hours a day.May be required to work long and unpredictable hours.Travel up to 75% of the time, including short notice travel.Disclaimer: All job requirements are subject to possible revision to reflect changes in the position requirements.
