You will work hand-in-hand with the Heads of Engineering, Architecture, Product, and TechOps, contributing to the improvement of current products while also taking a pivotal role in the creation and launch of a new, globally-scaled CPaaS platform. Additionally, you will spearhead the commercial expansion of Commify's North American division by establishing a robust partnership with the SVP/General Manager. As the Software Engineering leader in the USA, you will infuse the role with your passion for technology, dedication, and forward-thinking vision.
Key Responsibilities: Define and drive the technical vision and strategy for the US software engineering team, ensuring alignment with company objectives. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability. Collaborate with executive leadership and other departments to create and execute project roadmaps that meet customer and business needs. Oversee the software development lifecycle, ensuring best practices in coding, architecture, testing, and deployment. Stay ahead of industry trends and advancements, integrating relevant technologies to enhance our platform. Champion a culture of continuous learning and improvement, encouraging team members to acquire new skills and knowledge. Lead the integration of engineering teams and technologies for the USA, applying Commify best practices and processes within the acquired organisation. Assist in the execution of technical due diligence during mergers and acquisitions, focusing on maintaining and improving service levels, identifying and mitigating risks. Manage relationships with external partners and vendors to enhance our technical capabilities. Promote and implement agile development methodologies to optimize team performance and project delivery. Essential Qualifications: Deep understanding of cloud architecture, microservices, and distributed systems. Demonstrated experience of Agile transformation and leading teams using agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team. Strong expertise in Quality Engineering and can clearly articulate the steps required to ensure functional and non-functional quality in loosely coupled cloud solutions. Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience in driving innovation and change in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in modern software development languages, frameworks, and tools, including .NET, C#, JavaScript, and others. Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks. Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, RESTful APIs, and messaging protocols.
