The successful candidate will be a visible and student-focused leader, energized by student engagement, and will approach challenges with a flexible, innovative mindset.
Responsibilities include representing and advocating for all students, fostering an environment of inclusiveness and support, and maintaining strong partnerships with academic affairs.
The VPSA will be responsible for a wide range of areas, including residence life and housing, student engagement, outdoor programs and recreation, community service learning, community standards, and student diversity and inclusion programming.
Applicants for the Vice President of Student Affairs position at the company should have a Master's degree, with a preference for an earned doctorate or terminal degree, and a history of substantial and progressively responsible leadership in a diverse academic environment.
The role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work with a diverse student, faculty, and staff population, and a proactive, strategic approach to leadership.
The ideal candidate will have a background in college processes, including admissions, enrollment, and financial aid, and will be adept at providing general and specialized student support with professional courtesy, empathy, and a sense of humor.
