Details of the offer

JOB TITLE: VICE PRESIDENT REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT AND MARKETING

This role reports to the CEO and is responsible for generating realizations from the land portfolio and growing lease income on behalf of the organization. Recognizing that land is a unique asset class with a high degree of complexity and industry-specific knowledge to execute, this is a senior level executive position in the organization requiring both a commercial mindset and strong soft skills. This position requires excellent character such as honesty, integrity and trust.

Prior experience working in real estate development, preferably with an organization involved in master-planned communities and long planning horizons, is essential. A sophisticated understanding of both the economics of real estate development and land acquisition/divestment are necessary. Preferably, candidates will have experience across multiple product types including residential, commercial, light industrial, affordable housing, senior living, and long-term care facilities. Managing net operating income targets and capital budgets is also important.

The ideal candidate will have strong character and good judgment, and also a passion for Hawaii and the Big Island. We are looking for a leader who understands the importance of managing and maintaining healthy relationships across the organization including all levels of the organization such as line managers, corporate staff, and business administration. It is our hope that candidates also have extensive experience working with county and state agencies to facilitate development in critical areas such as housing and long-term care facilities.

The salary range for this role is expected to be from $175,000 to $200,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Role may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
