Overview The Visitor Control Center (VCC) Specialist is responsible for the issuance and revoking of employee badges and to receive, vet, and process, U.S. and Foreign National personnel that visit the Russell Knox Building and to document each visitor and each visit.
Responsibilities Maintain, issue, and retrieve identification badges, access cards, and vehicle parking tags, and other security related items.
Required to operate the Security Management System (SMS) for badging and access control.
Prepare and issue temporary government employee, contractor, and visitor RKB badges.
This includes entering data relevant to this effort into appropriate computer systems and maintain appropriate records.
Conduct daily inventory and account for all badges and shall establish and sustain an effective tracking system for lost or stolen badges, to include a protocol to recover badges that have not been turned in and to provide timely notification to the government and to the SOC about the missing badge(s).
Analyze the reasons for the lost and/or missing badge(s) and shall make recommendations for corrective action.Required enroll and disenroll employees and visitors into the DBIDS.
This may require capturing a photograph, fingerprints, or amplifying personal information.Assist with directing visiting personnel to their destination by coordinating with visitor POC.
Other duties as assigned Qualifications Active TS/SCI clearance required.Minimum of one year of relevant work experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment.Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize and work on projects independently.Must be proficient in a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, such as the Microsoft Office suite (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook.Physical Demands: (The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions.
