Our Volunteer Program is designed to help support and enhance the goals of our shelter to enrich the lives of the animals in the shelter. The charge of this position is to drive positive change by leading volunteers, removing barriers and ensuring best practices are in place. Our ideal candidate must have excellent skills in communication and thrive in collaborating with a variety of teams to achieve the optimal outcome of the volunteer program.

Pay range and benefits: $20 - $26.23/hr, salary based on related work experience recruiting, training and managing volunteers. This position oversees the volunteer program with a focus on recruiting, training, and the daily management of all volunteers. The day to day duties include: .
Assigns daily duties to volunteers. Arranges and attends offsite promotional events; assigns and supervises volunteers and staff at such events. Gives instructions and supervises staff in transportation of animals to events. Participates in the general social media plan of the department including Facebook posts and events, Twitter feeds, department website and email marketing.
