Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for identifying, negotiating, and establishing strategic partnerships with biopharma and molecular diagnostics companies. This role aims to create significant new revenue opportunities and drive the growth of our AI tools in digital pathology.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Partnerships: Identify, evaluate, and establish strategic partnerships with biopharma and molecular diagnostics companies to enhance the company's market presence and drive revenue growth
Revenue Generation: Develop and implement strategies to create significant new revenue streams through partnerships and collaborations
Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape in the biopharma and molecular diagnostics sectors
Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including C-level executives, decision-makers, and industry influencers
Negotiation: Lead negotiations of partnership agreements, ensuring favorable terms and alignment with the company's strategic goals
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including product development, marketing, and legal, to ensure successful execution of partnership initiatives
Thought Leadership: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings to enhance the company's visibility and thought leadership in digital pathology and AI
Reporting: Provide regular updates to the CEO and board of directors on partnership progress, revenue impact, and strategic initiatives
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, with a focus on biopharma or molecular diagnostics. Experience in digital pathology or AI is highly desirable
Leadership: Proven track record of leading successful business development initiatives and strategic partnerships at an executive level
Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation and deal-making skills, with a demonstrated ability to close complex agreements
Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the biopharma and molecular diagnostics landscape, including market trends, regulatory environment, and key players
Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade at all levels
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
Travel: Willingness to travel as required to meet with partners and attend industry events.
