Our client is currently seeking a VP – CHIEF INFORMATION SECURITY OFFICER
SALARY: $195K – $242K + benefits/bonus
General Description: Lead all aspects of security, ensuring the protection of information technology, confidential data, account access, electronic communications, fraud technology, and the physical safety of employees, members, and visitors.
Oversee the planning, implementation, and effectiveness of security programs, including information security, enterprise fraud technology, and physical security.
Collaborate with senior management to align with risk management strategies and achieve strategic goals.
Tasks, Duties, Functions: Provide leadership and subject matter expertise to support organizational initiatives, offer business intelligence, and achieve strategic and financial goals.Lead solutions and technical operations for information security, fraud technology, and physical security, ensuring the protection of technology systems, data, accounts, and physical safety.Oversee a 24/7 production environment to maintain high levels of safety, security, and trust for members and employees.Organize and prioritize critical issues to facilitate change, efficient discussions, and decision-making.Make leadership decisions as needed for a 24/7 business, keeping executive management informed of significant events.Ensure procedures and controls are in place to protect information and organizational assets.Collaborate with senior management on enterprise initiatives and standards to align with risk management strategies and achieve strategic goals.Continuously monitor the environment to identify and address potential security weaknesses and ensure compliance with security regulations and standards.Maintain knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations related to compliance, including bank secrecy and anti-money laundering laws.Foster a positive work environment by promoting skill development, coaching, and embracing the organization's mission, vision, and core values.Set goals, monitor work, and evaluate results to ensure departmental and organizational objectives are met.Provide leadership on security, fraud, and other administrative matters, acting as a role model for leadership commitments.Evaluate evolving solutions and their benefits to the organization, staying informed of industry developments.Build and maintain professional relationships and network with key business partners and industry colleagues.Perform other duties as assigned to support strategic goals.Skills, Abilities, and Exertion: Effective communication skills for managing staff, creating presentations, preparing reports, and conducting analysis.Manual dexterity to operate technology and standard office equipment.Reliable leadership with integrity and trust.Organizational Contacts & Relationships: Internal: Senior management, Board of Directors, and all staff levels.External: Members, vendors, government agencies, industry associations, and financial institution peers.Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
Master's degree is a plus.Experience: Minimum 12+ years in a related position, preferably at a financial institution, with 10+ years of senior management experience.Knowledge/Skills: Extensive knowledge of information security, fraud, and physical security tools and techniques.
Strong problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.
Confident leadership with the ability to delegate responsibility.Physical Requirements: Prolonged sitting with occasional mobility.Normal vision and hearing (with devices if needed).Occasional travel for evaluating technology products, networking, and attending conferences.Long work hours may be required.Licenses/Certifications: Valid California driver's license.
