PAY RANGE: $111,231 - $155,000 depending on years of experience
POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting directly to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), the Vice President of Information Systems (VP of IS) will provide strategic oversight to all aspects of our organization's information technology and systems, playing a core part in advancing our mission of providing behavioral health and housing services to people in need.
The VP of IS's primary responsibilities will include planning, implementing, managing, and controlling our IS/IT infrastructure, systems, and platforms.
This role requires staying current with healthcare and payor/insurance technologies, ensuring effective integration and compliance with regulatory standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic Vision and Leadership Develop an IS business plan, prioritizing technology initiatives to achieve organizational goals.
Lead the implementation of IS initiatives to enhance patient care, operational efficiency, and data security, aligning with Community Connections' broader goals and mission.
Provide strategic advice to the executive team on the productivity, financial, and administrative implications of IS-related activities.
Evaluate and advise on long-range planning, new program/business strategies, and regulatory actions.
Create and execute a comprehensive data analytics strategy in support of all clinical, housing, and billing programs.
Develop and implement an overall information strategy, encompassing information architecture, data analysis tooling, information flow mapping, and artificial intelligence (AI) integration.
Operational Management Oversee the daily operations of the IS department, ensuring system availability, reliability, and performance.
Execute an integrated SaaS strategy.
Security and Compliance Develop and maintain information security policies and procedures (including HIPAA), ensuring regulatory compliance and robust internal controls.
Implement and uphold cybersecurity measures to protect patient data and organizational information.
Project and Budget Management Develop and monitor annual IS budgets, ensuring the necessary funding for achieving Community Connections' goals.
Manage staffing and departmental operations within budgetary constraints.
Team Development and Vendor Management Build and mentor a skilled IS/IT team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Manage relationships with external vendors, ensuring high-quality and cost-effective IS/IT solutions.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement Stay current with advancements in behavioral healthcare and information technology, including AI, to ensure professional effectiveness.
Drive continuous improvement within the IS/IT department, promoting best practices and innovative solutions.

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: BS/BA Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required.
Work Experience: At least 5 years of direct experience leading an information systems or information technology department, preferably with specific experience in a healthcare setting.
Experience with security systems, enterprise applications, EDI, web and mobile technologies, telecommunication systems, application management, and compliance.
Software Proficiencies: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Data Analytics (Sisense, PowerBI), and Electronic Medical Record systems.
