As our VP, Media, you will… Be a leader in developing media plan recommendations and execution for our pharmaceutical advertising clients.
You will have experience with media channels that target both healthcare providers and patients and bring thought leadership and innovative solutions to help our clients keep ahead of the complex Life Science media vertical.
Be Accountable and Responsible Primary client contact on key business assignmentsOversee the development, execution, and optimization of the media planning processHelp your team analyze data and strategic input that informs channel allocation recommendationsLead your team in writing and presenting effective recommendations and proactive POVs internally and externallyMeet with media partners to understand the media landscape and act as the channel expert for your clientsWork with analytics partners to help clients prove out the success of your plansLead Media Supervisors, Media Planners and Associates, and Buying Specialists while reporting to the agency's SVP, Media DirectorAssess and recommend software, tool, and resource needs for the departmentThese are the qualifications we're looking for 15+ years of strategic media planning experience, with 10+ years specifically in the life sciences (pharma) verticalExperience working with Life Sciences data providers, media publishers, and well-versed in industry parametersDeep understanding of data and technology specific to the industry, with a proven ability to leverage both to achieve business goalsProven experience in participating in new business pitches with a strong ability to help grow our LS media businessA proven track record in bringing innovative solutions to clientsKnowledge of all paid media channels including digital mediaStrong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to translate data into insightsThrives in a team-oriented environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to translate and present complex ideas in a simple, smart wayStrong problem-solving abilities and a willingness to consider unconventional ideas when recommending solutionsHighly proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint) as well as other industry softwareAbility to effectively manage multiple projects and work under pressure to deliver high-quality work within timelinesAt MERGE, we're committed to fostering an environment where our team members can thrive in both their careers and personal lives, ensuring they feel supported and empowered to succeed.

The salary range for this role is $145,000 - $165,000, based on the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors.
The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
