Job Description: As the VP of Sales at a stealth UP.Labs portfolio company, you will hold the pivotal role of identifying new business opportunities, nurturing existing relationships, and driving the sales of a technical B2B SaaS product tailored to the automotive retail technology industry. Your exceptional sales acumen, technical software knowledge, and industry familiarity will be instrumental in setting and achieving our go-to-market and growth targets and in establishing this portfolio company as the preferred solutions provider in the sector.
In this role you will: Identify potential customers, strategic partnerships, and new market segments to drive revenue growthCultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at US-based software companiesOwn the sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure, demonstrating a hands-on approachAnalyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to refine sales strategies and product offeringsUnderstand customers' business challenges and objectives to position our product solutions effectivelyNegotiate complex agreements with customers, including pricing, terms, and service level agreementsPresent and articulate sales data and set KPI's with both portfolio company and UP.Labs leadershipCollaborate with product and engineering teams to provide valuable customer insights for continuous product improvementRepresent the company at events, trade shows, and conferences to enhance our visibilityYou should have: Proven track record of at least 15+ years in business development, sales, or related roles within the Automotive retail industry, focusing on dealerships or repair shopsStrong background in selling technical B2B software products with clear credibility around technical understandingExperience working with dealer management systems or shop management systems (nice to have)Strong analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data-driven insights to guide decisions.Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field. MBA or equivalent preferred.Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.Location: Remote in United States
