The MongoDB Application Modernization Consulting Practice exists to support our customers in their GenAI-accelerated modernizing of legacy applications. You will hire and develop top application delivery talent, contribute to best practices and our modernization body of knowledge by harvesting and integrating innovations and lessons learned from the field, supporting modernization projects throughout your respective region, and contributing to sales efforts to position application modernization initiatives to our most demanding customers.

Candidate Qualifications15+ years of career experience in consulting for system integrators or software companies including 5+ years in services sales or delivery leadershipSuccessful track record in a senior professional services delivery role, with responsibilities for sales and deliveryFamiliarity with enterprise-scale software architectures, cloud architecture, application development methodologies, and deployment/operational considerationsAt ease operating in a dynamic, fast growing business, able to be self-sufficient with a can-do attitude and ready to make yourself accountable for strategy, execution and resultsAbility to make sound decisions in a fast-paced, changing environment with often limited dataDemonstrated leadership skills, with direct responsibility for managing and developing senior leadersDemonstrated capability to establish meaningful relationships with customers and partners, hold customers and partners accountable, manage customer expectations and escalations effectively, and build mutually beneficial relationships with partnersDemonstrated ability to maintain relationships and alignment with other internal teams and stakeholders, especially Sales, Customer Success, Product, Technical SupportOutstanding interpersonal skills, along with strong communication skills both verbal and writtenComfortable traveling for work as neededPosition ExpectationsLead an organization primarily responsible for materially impacting customer consumption rates through application modernizationAccountable for the overall success of the PS application modernization practice based on established performance metricsAccountable for hiring, development and deployment of talent throughout the practice; proactively cultivating a pipeline of candidates with new perspectives and experiences, attracting the highest quality talent in the industry to support excellence and rapid growthAccountable for best practices, innovation and continuous acceleration of modernization of applicationsEstablish and maintain a culture of mutual accountability between PS and customersPartner with PS and other field teams (Sales, Customer Success, Support, Pre-Sales and the rest of PS) for continuous improvement of customer engagement modelsSupport MongoDB teams in management of risk throughout the modernization engagement lifecycleWork closely with PS and customer partners, developing mutually beneficial solutions to relationship challengesResponsible for developing the capabilities and maturity of the leaders on your teamAccountable for ownership of all delivery assets, tools, capabilities, systems, processes and playbooksCollaborating with other functions across the company as a key partner to global Professional Services strategy development and executionSuccess MeasuresSuccessful execution, evolution and acceleration of application modernization playbooksIdentify and manage leading indicators that indicate intentional behaviors that ensure successful execution & acceleration of modernization engagementsSuccessful evolution of the capability of the application modernization practice - roles and responsibilities, career paths, scalability of team, capacity, and delivery excellenceDecisions driven by well-maintained, robust tracking and reporting of key performance indicators by workload, project and delivery portfolioTo drive the personal growth and business impact of our employees, we're committed to developing a supportive and enriching culture for everyone.
