Risk Data, Analytics, Reporting and Technology (DART) oversees risk data aggregation, controls, reporting and analysis across all Risk Management teams, including the function of the Risk Data Transformation Sponsor, accountable for Risk's overall data efforts, working closely with the enterprise data office. DART is responsible for enterprise reporting, data management, and technology innovation that is fundamental to Risk Management within Citi.
The team is heavily involved in providing Regulators, Risk Managers, Business Managers and Senior Management with critical data for portfolio monitoring, business reviews and regulatory reviews, as well as engaging in strategic initiatives and implementing new processes. The team interacts with a range of other stakeholders across the firm including Finance, Technology, Business units, and Audit, and assists with ad-hoc deliverables for regulators and other external audiences whenever required.
Description
Design time-sensitive analytics, visualizations, complex and high visibility reports across Wholesale Credit Risk that provide critical data to Risk and Business management for portfolio monitoring and strategic decision-making.
Hands-on and end to end implementation of interactive business insights data visualization artifacts such as dashboards, scorecards and reports using Tableau Desktop as a strategic reporting tool, from inception to production deployment Understand wholesale credit risk, manage it effectively and set processes to manage and monitor it.
Analyze reporting requirements of the Regulators and Senior Management, structure them in an organized manner, run a gap analysis and propose reporting and monitoring solutions to address them
Create Corrective Action Plans which capture work that needs to be done, plan artifacts well and work with Internal Audit effectively on MRA, etc.
Build partnerships whit our stakeholders, negotiate for the team, handle challenge and defend solutions designed by the team, but accept and incorporate feedback as well
Contribute to the design of data models, data flows, reporting processes etc. as part of migration to strategic tech tools and implement performance improvements to realize efficiencies for timeliness of existing and new data visualization artifacts
Engage with Risk, Finance, Technology & business teams to provide in-depth analysis on the key Risk metrics and present the same during Senior Management Committee reviews (e.g. Portfolio Review).
Lead projects and actively support forums related to policy-driven, remediation-driven, and regulatory initiatives in collaboration with other Risk Reporting teams and cross-functional groups. Propose recommendations to business partners, establish project plans and track/communicate progress.
Business analysis support for solutions and platforms delivering risk data and risk reporting programs
Work closely with risk and portfolio managers, Finance and Technology teams to acquire data for various reports and presentations and to ensure data quality, completeness, and consistency.
Understand/interpret the nuances of questions and requests from senior management and regulators and work with risk managers and portfolio analysts to come up withsolutions/alternatives.
Deliver regular and time-sensitive ad-hoc information for regulatory requests and internal/external audit reviews.
Ensure key controls and process documentation requirements are completed and compliant for MCA, BCBS, EUC and other governance purposes.
Qualifications
8+ years of experience in finance and/or risk data analytics.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. engineering, finance, economics, science).
Professional degree equivalent to CA / MBA Finance or Postgraduates from premier universities will be beneficial.
Proficiency in Tableau, Power BI or other BI visualization tools.
Advanced knowledge of EXCEL/VBA, MS Access and PowerPoint.
Strong knowledge of credit risk / Market Risk / Liquidity concepts and basic accounting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to details. Ability to quickly analyze granular details, summarize top-level trends, identify key drivers of trends and adeptly present findings
Experience withmanaging/restructuringlarge, complex databases (e.g. with millions of records), and with programming languages such as Python, R and SAS, is preferable
Knowledge of Citigroup internal reporting applications, particularly Risk and Finance applications such as Optima, CitiRisk, COGNOS, Genesis and Facility Management, is helpful.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proven presentation skills. Ability to relay information to senior management in a succinct, insightful way, and negotiate internally with a broad range of stakeholders.
