Available shift: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm.
Pay rate: $15/hour.
Job Summary: The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for performing a variety of routine logistics, shipping, receiving, and housekeeping tasks.
It will be essential that the Warehouse Associate supports and integrates Sizemore's core values of Flexibility, Improvement, Reliability, Safety and Teamwork into the daily performance of assigned responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
•Prepare orders for shipment in accordance with the shipping log and customer requirements.
•Check inventory to verify availability of needed stock.
•Pull, package and complete shipment orders.
•Notify the Supervisor of shortages.
•Package and ship in accordance with packaging guidelines and accepted methods/practices.
•Maintain product stock in work area.
•Load and unload shipments and stock racks in the warehouse with forklift/fork truck.
•Monitor packaging material supplies and notifies Supervisor when material gets to restock point.
•Receive and unload incoming freight and compare information on packing slips with BOL to verify accuracy
of shipment.
•Sort, count, package, label, and unpack inventory that is received when needed.
•Inspect shipments for damages, loss, or defects, and notify the Supervisor of findings.
•Responsible for accurately receiving, reporting, notifying the purchaser of items.
•Stock locations in warehouse.
•Operate dock plate, pallet jack, and/or forklift in loading and unloading material and equipment.
•Operate shrink-wrap machine.
•Check labels to verify the quantity is correct.
•Organize shipping logs and verifies that the lot sizes are correct and matches the inventory system.
•Read shipping logs and verify material that is pulled for packaging matches the inventory ticket.
•Follow shipping instructions and request specifics from sales representative (i.e., how to pack per pallet size and quantity per pallet).
•Apply labels to outbound and inbound freight.
•Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
•High school graduate or recipient of GED
•Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
•Demonstrate a commitment to service and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor.
•Possess patience, tact, enthusiasm as well as diplomacy in all interactions.
•Possess initiative and sound judgement in evaluating and reacting to situations.
•Ability to multitask and work under pressure in time sensitive situations.
•Possess problem-solving skills with high attention to detail, including the ability to prioritize.
•Ability to work with minimum supervision, read/comprehend detailed instructions and process information with accuracy and clarity.
•Communicate effectively both verbally and written.
•Must be at least 18 years of age.
Working Conditions:
•Work will be performed in an industrial plant during hot and cold weather conditions.
•Must be able to stand for extended periods of time for duration of shift.
•Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
•Safety boots are required.
Continued employment is dependent upon:
•Ability to pass a criminal background, a clean MVR check (if driving), and employment verification.
•Ability to pass a pre-employment and random employment drug screens.
